CWC hosts septic seminar March 16

MARGARETVILLE, Feb. 27, 2017: Septic system designers and engineers are invited to a March 16 seminar hosted by the Catskill Watershed Corp. discussing recent advances in wastewater treatment and dispersal.

The free seminar will be held at the CWC, 905 Main St., Margaretville. Please register online at

Eric Murdock, P.E., of Onsite Sales & Service of Syracuse will be the presenter at this training, which starts at 8 a.m. Sign-in is at 7:30 a.m. The seminar, which concludes at noon, carries four professional development hours for licensed engineers.

Topics will include an overview of system types, their limits and effectiveness; economical designs, and how to select systems to address site conditions. Murdock will also take a look at the coming generation of treatment techniques and technologies.

The CWC is a non-profit, Local Development Corporation responsible for several environmental protection, economic development and education programs in the New York City Watershed West of the Hudson River.
