MARGARETVILLE, N.Y., April 10, 2017–The Catskill Watershed Corporation (CWC) supports groups and individuals who clean litter and other debris from streambanks in the Catskill-Delaware Watershed and dispose of it properly.
The CWC will provide heavy duty trash bags, gloves and tokens of appreciation to individuals, youth and school groups, church organizations, civic and business associations, neighborhood groups and teams of friends who volunteer to scour streambanks and riversides for trash.
Call Diane Galusha at 845-586-1400, email@example.com, to arrange to get these items.
A stream cleanup would be a meaningful way to observe Earth Day, which is April 22. American Rivers is also calling for groups to participate in the 25th Annual National River Cleanup effort this spring. To register your cleanup activity, participate in a photo contest, and to get more information, visit www.americanrivers.org and click on the “Take Action” tab.
The CWC is a non-profit, Local Development Corporation responsible for several environmental protection, economic development and education programs in the New York City Watershed West of the Hudson River. www.cwconline.org
